Outdoor Ministries - Camping Is For ALL of Us!

CAMPING IS FOR ALL OF US!

Camping is Fun!

The Northern California Nevada Conference United Church of Christ is an Open and Affirming Conference of the United Church of Christ, and as such does not discriminate on the basis of age, gender, race, ethnic origin, affectional or sexual orientation, or any other particular element of an individual’s humanity. Our camps are open to people of any faith, as well as to those seeking a faith community.

Outdoor Ministries - What's So Special about UCC Camps?

WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST CHURCH CAMPS?

Camping is Fun!

What’s so special about United Church of Christ Church Camps? NCNC/UCC Camps are special because our singular goal is to keep the ratio of campers to adults very low: about 3:1 for the youngest children, and less than 5:1 for teens. Our camps are staffed by volunteer adults and teens who are active in local churches, take their own faith journey seriously, and look forward to being good friends and positive role models to campers.

We train our volunteers to be especially mindful of keeping campers physically, emotionally and spiritually safe; to look for ways to constantly affirm each individual; to assist campers in staying engaged in the program; and to help keep the community running smoothly and efficiently.

Children and youth participating in an NCNC/UCC summer camp will return not only with many new friends among peers, but with new friends who are caring adults.
