Earthquake Response -- Chile & Haiti

Recalling the words of Psalm 27,
"The Creator will shelter me
  in the day of trouble,
Will take me in and conceal me
   under the folds of the tent,
Will set me high on a rock
   out of harm’s way…"

Let us keep in prayer  all who have been displaced by the earthquakes in Chile and Haiti, those who have been injured, those whose loved ones have died, and those who are engaged in rescue.
 
Gracious One,
May Your presence be with all who mourn today,
Bring solace to those in pain,
Enfold in your care the homeless and the hungry,
And stand with strength among those who care for those in need,
That they not be daunted by the enormity of their task.
 
Source of Life,
Link us in faith,
Bringing together
Need and aid,
Promise and fulfillment,
Sorrow and love.
 
We ask these things in the name of Jesus,
Who walked amoung us,
On shaky and hallowed ground.
