Become a Justice LED Regional Trainer!
Leaders Engaging and Developing
My work tells me that there are folks in the pews with concerns for justice.
What is required is an intentional program of calling out, training and empowering.
The Justice LED program is that program and it will be a blessing to Christ’s church. –
Peter Wells, National Certified Trainer
What is Justice LED?
Justice Leaders Engaging and Developing (Justice LED) is a faith-based, biblically grounded leadership training program developed by Justice & Witness Ministries of the United Church of Christ. Local churches interested in developing and sustaining justice ministries are the ultimate recipients of the Justice LED program.
NEXT TRAINING IS SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 16-18 here in Northern California at Pacific School of Religion! For details, contact Drew Nettinga.
What is a Regional Trainer?
Regional Trainers will be trained by teams of National Certified Trainers. They will then be equipped to train leaders from local churches who will introduce Justice LED to their congregations.
Who can become a Regional Trainer?
Anyone with an affiliation with the United Church of Christ who has a commitment to do justice as part of our response to the Gospel’s call to discipleship, experience in facilitation, leading workshops and/or teaching, and a love of people in all our diversity.
When and where are the trainings?
The teams of National Certified Trainers are responsible for setting up Regional Trainer trainings and will post dates and locations online at the Justice LED section of the UCC website (http://www.ucc.org/justice/training/). Some dates will be set up in response to applications received; some will be posted with the intent of generating interest in that Conference or region. If no dates in or near your area are posted, go ahead and apply and your application will be forwarded to the National Certified Trainers. NOTE: NEXT TRAINING IS SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 16-18 here in Northern California at Pacific School of Religion! For details, contact Drew Nettinga.
How do I apply?
Go to the Justice LED site (http://www.ucc.org/justice/training/) and click on “Regional Trainers” on the left menu bar. You will see the online application link or a downloadable application form to print out and mail in. You will be asked to provide references which can also be submitted online. The National Certified Trainers who will conduct the training in your area will be in touch with you about your application.
