Prayers for Chile and the Pacific

"The Creator will shelter me in the day of trouble,
Will take me and conceal me under the folds of the tent,
Will set me high on a rock out of harm’s way,"
 
Let us keep in prayer  all who have been displaced by the earthquakes in Chile and Haiti, those who have been injured, those whose loved ones have died, and those who are engaged in rescue and relief efforts.  

 
Gracious One,
May Your presence be with all who mourn today,
And with all who seek the living amidst the rubble.
Bring solace to those in pain,
And stand with strength among those who prepare
In the face of threat,
Who respond to current danger,
That they may not by hampered
By anxiety.
 
Source of Life,
Link us in faith

Bringing together
Need and aid,
Promise and fulfillment,
Sorrow and love.
 
We ask these things in the name of Jesus,
Who walked among us,
On shaky and hallowed ground.
