Stanley C. Altrock died on April 21 at age 76. No memorial service was held. Stan is survived by his daughter Laura. Memorial contributions may be sent to Lancaster Theological Seminary, 555 West James St., Lancaster PA 17603. Stan graduated from Lancaster Theological Seminary and was ordained in 1959. He served a church in Texas before becoming a chaplain and serving in Camarillo and Sacramento. Stan served on the faculty of the Clinical Pastoral Training Program at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington DC. Stan also served as a Navy Reserve chaplain for 19 years.
Daniel Aprá died on June 11 at age 94. A memorial service was held on June 20 at First Congregational UCC, Berkeley. Dan is survived by his wife Joy. Dan graduated from Colgate Rochester Divinity School and was ordained American Baptist in 1940. He served two Baptist churches in Illinois, then left the Baptist church and sold life insurance for three years. In 1948 Dan returned to ministry in the Congregational Church, serving in Southern California, Kensington, Wisconsin, and Berkeley. Dan was Pastor Emeritus at Arlington Community UCC in Kensington.
Ryan Dowell Baum was ordained by the Bay Association May 22 to do mission work in Zambia through TEEZ - Theological Education by Extension in Zambia - in a four way covenant with First Congregational UCC, Oakland.
Jean Boal was installed by the Sacramento Valley Association April 18 as pastor at Trinity Congregational UCC, Weaverville.

Kate Dalton was ordained May 8 by the Golden Gate Association at Community Congregational UCC, Tiburon. She serves as campus minister at United Campus Christian Ministry, UC Santa Cruz.
Kimberly Elliot resigned from College Heights UCC, San Mateo on April 11 to take a call as the pastor to the English speaking congregation at the Presbyterian Church in Chinatown, San Francisco.

Wilfried Glabach has resigned from First Congregational UCC, San Francisco as of July 18 to take a call as pastor and hospital chaplain in Bad Neuenahr, Rhineland, Germany, where he is from and holds standing in the Protestant Church of the Rhineland.
Edwin C. Gomke died April 1 at age 91. A memorial service was held April 10 at Parkside UCC, Sacramento. He is survived by his wife Pauleen Gomke, two sons and a daughter, a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren. Ed graduated from Yankton School of Theology, was ordained in 1942 and served as an Army chaplain in Italy during W.W.II, in Korea during that conflict, and in East Africa, earning a Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and other medals. He served churches in South Dakota, Illinois, Corona del Mar, Novato, Elk Grove, San Carlos, Woodland, Clarksburg, and Sacramento. Ed was honored as Pastor Emeritus by Elk Grove UCC. His hobby was painting and he referred to himself as "a famous, humble painter of land and seascapes."

Rick Yramategui, UCC pastor of Carmel Valley Community Chapel, was honored as distinguished alum of the year by his alma mater, United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities on April 28th.
